My journey in design began with a natural curiosity about how spaces affect the way people feel and live.
I was drawn not only to beautiful rooms, but to the thinking behind them — why one layout creates ease while another creates frustration, why certain materials make a home feel warm and welcoming, and how thoughtful design can transform everyday routines.
That curiosity grew into a career in residential interior design and eventually into my first independent design practice in India. Over approximately six years, I had the opportunity to work with more than 65 clients and guide residential projects through the many decisions that turn an idea into a finished space.
After moving to the United States, I continued developing my experience within the Bay Area design industry. My work expanded through kitchen and bath design, cabinetry design, space planning, residential remodeling, design consultation, material selections, design documentation, and collaboration with clients, architects, contractors, project managers, and vendor partners.
Each stage of my career strengthened a belief I still carry into every project: a designer's job is not merely to make a space attractive. It is to listen carefully, solve thoughtfully, communicate clearly, and create a result that feels genuinely connected to the people who will live there.
I created Purple Craft to offer a design experience that is both professional and personal.
I saw that many homeowners need excellent design guidance but do not always fit into a traditional full-service model. Some already have a contractor and need a designer to develop the layout, cabinetry, materials, and drawings. Others want complete support from concept through installation. Contractors and design firms may also need experienced, independent design assistance during busy periods or for specialized kitchen, bath, cabinetry, and residential projects.
Purple Craft was created to meet those different needs without compromising the quality or thoughtfulness of the design.
The word "craft" reflects the care behind the work. A well-designed home is not produced by choosing beautiful objects in isolation. It is crafted by considering function, proportion, movement, materials, light, construction, personality, and the many small details that bring everything together.
Purple represents creativity, individuality, and the confidence to create something distinctive. Together, Purple Craft expresses my goal: to create meaningful spaces through imagination, precision, and care.
